Warmth reaches tension that hands alone take much longer to release. In a hot stone massage, smooth heated stones are placed on key points of the body and used by your therapist as an extension of their hands, gliding through the muscle with slow, deliberate strokes.
The heat allows the muscle to soften first, so a comparatively gentle pressure can achieve a deep sense of release. It is one of our most restful treatments and a favourite with guests who feel the cold in heavily air-conditioned offices and homes.
Your therapist warms the stones to a carefully controlled temperature and tests them before they touch your skin. Some are rested on the back, shoulders or along the spine while others are worked through the muscle in long, flowing movements, usually combined with traditional massage by hand.
The sensation is warm and enveloping rather than hot. Tell your therapist at any point if you would like the stones cooler or the pressure lighter.

The pressure is moderate. The depth of the effect comes from the heat softening the muscle rather than from force. If you want firm, targeted pressure, book a deep tissue massage instead.
Yes, and it works well. We suggest completing your contrast therapy session first and finishing with the massage.
We don't offer hot stone or other full body massage for pregnant guests, but Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage, Foot Massage and Japanese Head Spa are available instead — just let us know when booking.
